SBG Atlanta's March 2017 Fitness Member of the Month: Sarah Harrington

 

Sarah Harrington Perry has been with SBG for almost two years now.

She is a regular in our 5:30pm Performance class, to the point that if Monday rolls around and she isn’t in the gym ready to go at 5:30pm…we all wonder aloud where she is.

When asked about why she trains at Straight Blast Gym Buford, Sarah responded with this:

“My favorite part of SBG is the people and our community. The coaches genuinely care about us. They take the time to teach proper mechanics and movement. It’s been very eye opening for me. To steal from Crowder….more is not better…better is better. The friends I’ve made along the way and the laughs we share have me looking forward to class daily. I always feel better leaving the gym!”

At the beginning of February, Sarah was one of 20+ SBG members who decided to take part in the Whole Life Challenge. Having to keep daily score in seven plus categories, including exercise, diet, mobility and more, Sarah has made some HUGE strides over the last month.

“The WLC has been awesome! It has given me the tools to establish healthy habits and really overhaul my general daily outlook. Coach Kristen is such a great motivator and a huge inspiration for me. She always looks to the bright side and this is something I’m trying to do as well. I’ve lost 10 pounds to date and am thrilled about that.”

On Friday night, February 25th, Sarah was one of nearly 30 people to attend our first of five Friday Night Lights event at the gym where we completed CrossFit HQ’s workout for the week. Sarah finished the event in remarkable time and stuck around to help support her teammates upon completion.
